Only consider repairing scratches if the game is unplayable (either doesn't read or bugs out later on). My suggestion would be to try and play the game even if it's all scratched up. However for me it worked great where cheaper machines failed. NOTE: Use of a commercial lens cleaner or cleaning disc is not recommended.Personally I bought myself a JFJ Easypro, but that's quite expensive and not worth it for only a few games to fix. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, we would recommend bringing the unit in to have the lens professionally cleaned. The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If your unit uses batteries, make sure that the batteries are fresh and that they are inserted correctly.If your unit uses AC power, verify that the power source is securely connected and plugged into a working AC outlet.If the problem persists, disconnect the power source from the player for approximately 30 seconds and then reconnect the power source.NOTE: Recordings may have static or distortion if the player is placed too close to another electrical device or is too close to an object having a magnetic field during the recording process. Move the player away from any electrical devices that may be operating nearby.If possible, attempt to play the discs in another CD or DVD player to verify whether the discs have the issue or if the problem is with the player.If the issue is still not resolved, proceed to the next step. NOTE: If the issue does not occur when playing the newly-inserted disc, the previous disc was the issue. Make sure to use a commercially-produced, store-bought disc when doing the troubleshooting steps.
